Gift for my Mother

After thinking a lot I thought of conveying my regards to my ma on the coming Mother's day. This year it will be on the 11th of the May (second Sunday of the month).

Here it goes:

Tears melt down but you stay awake,
In the middle of the night
You had to take care of me
Despite the hour long fight.

I wonder how you do it mom;
I behave so rude,
Still you fondly prepare the meal
And feed me for my good.

You touch my colored face
Turned red while I cried,
“I love you dear”, you kissed me
You looked at me and sighed.

You soothe me and apologized
For mistakes that I made,
If you weren’t there today mom
I would have been dead.

So mom today on this day
I wish you a great life
I promise to make each day
A Mother’s day in your life.

There is another one that I have prepared for a gift to mom on behalf of my sister.

I opened my eyes; saw you lying beside me,
I thought gravely, is it my mother or who is she?
I held your little finger and clung to you
You gave me all the warmth in you.

As I grew up you made me learn
Life’s a journey, new at each turn,
On this special mother’s day,
I convey my love to you,
Thanks ‘Ma’ for making me who I am today.
